Shady Grove Fertility Expands to Tampa, Offering Highly Specialized Fertility Care as an Affiliate of Women’s Care Florida, and Welcomes New Physician to the Practice
Shady Grove Fertility (SGF), a leading provider of comprehensive fertility services, announced today that the practice is expanding into Florida with the opening of a location in Tampa through its new affiliation with Women’s Care Florida (WCF), a premier provider of women’s health care throughout Central Florida. This is SGF’s first location in the Sunshine State, joining now 31 locations across Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Georgia. Dr. Celso Silva, who has been caring for fertility patients in Florida for more than 12 years, will be practicing out of an office located at the Women’s Health Center in Tampa.
The SGF expansion to Florida provides more convenient access to highly specialized fertility care, including diagnostic testing and low- and high-tech treatment options such as intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), donor egg treatment, egg freezing, oncofertility, and LGBTQ family building. This location also expands SGF's donor egg treatment and gestational carrier programs, creating access for egg donor recipients and for patients needing a gestational carrier traveling from South America. SGF recruits and prescreens (medically, psychologically, and genetically) all prospective, anonymous, ready-to-cycle egg donors prior to listing them on the SGF donor registry.
SGF Tampa Bay accepts many insurances and also offers unique financial programs for self-pay patients such as their Shared Risk 100% Refund Guarantee for IVF and donor egg—in which patients take home a baby or receive a full refund—or their income-based Shared Help Program and Military Discount, to name a few. SGF provides an exclusive financing option through Fertility Finance with an easy loan process and competitive rates.
Dr. Silva, who speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese, completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Brown University School of Medicine/Women and Infants Hospital, and subspecialty fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. In addition, Dr. Silva completed post-graduate research training in reproductive medicine and infertility at Brown University and obtained a Master of Science degree in translational research at the University of South Florida.
“What makes me the most proud about SGF are my coworkers. They are all unconditionally devoted to the SGF mission to put our patients’ interests and well-being first. From the physicians, through the nurses and other medical staff, to all of the administrative personnel, they all do their jobs with smiles on their faces and positive attitudes. I am humbled to be part of an organization that does not settle for anything less than excellence in patient care,” says Silva.
Chief Executive Officer of Shady Grove Fertility, Mark Segal, adds, “Among the reasons we’re excited about this affiliation with Women’s Care Florida is because it connects our practice with a well-known, well-regarded organization that shares similar values and a mission to offer best-in-class care for women and couples who need affordable, accessible, effective treatment options to help them overcome their infertility challenges. We’re delighted about this new partnership,” he continues.
“We’re thrilled about the opportunity to collaborate with Shady Grove Fertility,” says Women’s Care Florida Chief Executive Officer Andrew Mintz. “As a premier women’s health provider group, the addition of comprehensive reproductive medicine treatment options allows us to continue to expand the services we make available to our patients. We’re also pleased that SGF is known for providing excellent care and offers unique financial programs that make the dream for a family more affordable.”
In 2019, SGF Tampa Bay will expand to include a full IVF center, which will include a state-of-the-art embryology laboratory, an onsite surgical procedure suite, and a dedicated andrology laboratory.
