New York, NY – SGF New York announced this week it has resumed fertility procedures and treatment at its flagship New York location.

Due to the tremendous efforts of thousands of frontline healthcare professionals and the community at large, many regions with the United States who were once dramatically affected by the COVID-19 crisis are finally beginning to experience a reduction in the number of new cases and hospitalizations.

SGF Fertility Treatments Now Available

Specifically, patients in need of a virtual physician consultation, diagnostic testing, ovulation induction (OI), intrauterine insemination (IUI), frozen embryo transfer (FET), in vitro fertilization (IVF), donor egg treatment, and oncofertility preservation may start or resume treatment immediately.

SGF New York’s Accomplished Physician Team

SGF New York is home to two of the region’s most accomplished, Cornell-trained physicians, Anate Brauer, M.D., SGF New York IVF Director, and Tomer Singer, M.D., MBA., SGF New York Medical Director. Both physicians offer a full range of state-of-the-art in-house diagnostic and treatment options for female and male infertility, elective fertility preservation, fertility preservation prior to cancer treatment, third-party reproduction, and LGBTQ family building.

“This is not business as usual. We will be providing care for patients in a new, very different environment. Fortunately, we’ve been able to come up with care solutions—with safety considerations being of paramount importance—that allow patients to obtain the care they need,” said Eric A. Widra, SGF Chief Medical Officer.

Dr. Brauer earned her medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine, where she was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Brauer subsequently completed her fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility-Weill Cornell Medical College. Prior to joining Shady Grove Fertility, Dr. Brauer was an Assistant Clinical Professor at NYU School of Medicine.

Dr. Singer earned his medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine and his Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management from Hofstra Zarb School of Business. He completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, NY, where he also served as Chief Resident. He then went on to complete his reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York, NY.
