Similar to its flagship Shared Risk 100% Refund Program created more than 2 decades ago for fertility patients, women who return to Shady Grove Fertility to use their frozen eggs to have a baby now have the same peace of mind or a full refund.

Shady Grove Fertility announced the launch of its new Shared Risk 100% Refund Program for Returning Egg Freezing Patients. This unique, money-back egg freezing guarantee gives women the opportunity to pay a fixed cost to use their frozen eggs to have a baby. Women who enroll in this program will receive a 100% refund if they don’t take home a baby (some exclusions apply).

The Shared Risk 100% Refund Program for Returning Egg Freezing Patients price includes egg thaws, fertilization, cultured embryos, cryopreservation, fresh and any frozen embryo transfer (FET) if needed, and storage until the patient has a baby. The fixed cost and refund if the patient doesn’t take home a baby does not cover the initial egg freezing fees.

The program has two price points depending upon the woman’s age at the time she froze her eggs: for women who froze eggs under the age of 38 and women who froze between ages 38 and 40. For women who do not qualify or opt not to participate in the egg freezing guarantee program, a fee-for-service options, which includes one egg thaw cycle, is available and does not include the re-freeze of additional embryos or a subsequent FET.

In order to participate in the Shared Risk 100% Refund Program for Returning Egg Freezing Patients, women must have qualified for SGF’s Assure Fertility Financial Program at the time of freezing and must have a minimum of 10 eggs ready to thaw. Through Assure Fertility, for a flat fee, women receive up to four or five egg freezing cycles or 20 or 30 high-quality eggs, whichever comes first.

“If you qualify for Assure Fertility right now, you qualify for the egg freezing guarantee program in the future,” says SGF reproductive endocrinologist, Joseph Doyle, M.D., “It gives [women] reassurance that they are making a good decision.”

Depending on her age, a woman at Shady Grove Fertility with at least 10 frozen eggs has a 40 percent chance of taking home a baby. However, if a woman 37 or younger freezes 20 mature eggs, she has up to an 80 percent chance of taking home a baby.

“Women need assurance about their fertility if they freeze their eggs. Shady Grove Fertility wants them to know that we stand behind our outcomes,” adds Doyle.
