In a continuing effort to spread awareness about the effectiveness of infertility treatments and the importance of early fertility intervention, physician experts from Shady Grove Fertility will host in-person seminars and online webinars as part of its ongoing education series.

Shady Grove Fertility, the largest fertility center in the United States, continues to remind the community through its educational events that there are now treatments available to help nearly everyone conceive. The goal of Shady Grove Fertility’s online and in-person events is to provide attendees with the most up-to-date information about fertility health and seeking treatment so they can make educated and informed decisions about taking the next step. All events—either virtual or in-person—conclude with a question and answer session with a physician expert allowing attendees to get their personal questions answered.

“What to Expect When You’re Not Expecting” is the new name of the practice’s most popular ongoing event series. The event covers a variety of topics and walks attendees through the different touchpoints that are relevant to many people on their fertility journey. The physician host will address who should see a fertility specialist, what to expect at your first appointment, how fertility is diagnosed, treatment options, and financial programs that are exclusive to Shady Grove Fertility.

“The fear of the unknown is what prevents many people from scheduling an initial consultation with a fertility specialist. What our event is intended to do, is alleviate the fear of seeking help from a fertility specialist and provide attendees with all of the information they need so they can feel confident in taking that next step,” says Dr. Stephanie Beall of Shady Grove Fertility’s Towson, MD and Columbia, MD locations. Dr. Beall will be hosting the in-person “What to Expect When You’re Not Expecting” event on Wednesday, June 7 in Towson, MD.

The biggest question patients have when deciding to pursue fertility treatment is “Can I afford it?” Shady Grove Fertility has one of the largest insurance networks and accepts over 30 insurance providers. Of these plans, 70 percent of patients have some level of fertility financial coverage for treatment and close to 90 percent have coverage for their initial consultation. For those patients without insurance coverage, Shady Grove Fertility has developed six unique financial programs to help ease the cost of treatment, so that building a family is affordable and accessible to all.

The Financial Options Webinar on Wednesday, June 21 will address how to navigate insurance and provide attendees with information about Shady Grove Fertility’s discount and guarantee programs, grants, financing, medication discounts, and more. The Patient Financial Team will also discuss their role in each patient’s fertility journey and how they guide them through the financial process. The end of the presentation will conclude with a live question-and-answer-session where participants can get their questions answered.

While all SGF in-person and online events are complimentary, interested parties must register to attend by visiting the Shady Grove Fertility calendar of events.
