A Shady Grove Fertility Baby is Born Every 3 Hours
In the last 20 years, over 27,000 babies were born as a result of Shady Grove Fertility Center (SGFC). When the center opened its doors in 1991, approximately one baby was born every 20 days. Today, one SGFC baby is born approximately every 3 hours. Now that's a reason to celebrate! As part of the anniversary festivities, a new website, JoyforGenerations.com was created as a place for past, present and future fertility patients, staff members, referring physicians and practice partners to read or share inspirational stories and images about their experience with SGFC. If you are a patient or partner of Shady Grove Fertility Center, visit JoyforGenerations.com today to share your story!

What is a Fertility Evaluation?
If you are having trouble conceiving the best thing you can do is seek medical help from a fertility specialist. During the first initial consultation your doctor will conduct a thorough evaluation of your medical and fertility history. You will have an opportunity to ask questions and together you will determine the next steps, either a treatment plan or possibly additional testing if the diagnosis is unclear. Unless required by your insurance, you do not need a referral from a primary doctor to come to Shady Grove Fertility.

Treatment Success Rates
50% of the treatments we perform are low tech and 50% are high tech, such as In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Donor Egg. We publish detailed statistics for all of the treatments performed here at Shady Grove Fertility including Intrauterine Insemination, In Vitro Fertilization and Donor Egg. According to the Society for Reproductive Medicine (SART), Shady Grove Fertility is among the top 5% in the country for highest IVF success rates and among the lowest in multiple births.

Insurance and Financial Programs
Shady Grove Fertility participates with 22 insurance plans and the good news is that most people have coverage for the first appointment and diagnostic testing and nearly 70% of couples have some or full coverage for fertility treatment. For those whose coverage is limited, SGFC has a multitude of financial programs to help your afford the treatment you need to have a baby – from treatment discounts to 100% refund programs and from grants and financing options.
