We are so blessed to have found Shady Grove and Dr. Vitez, Hailey, and Bree and the rest of the Shady Grove staff.

Simply put, SGF helped my husband and I become parents to our son, and for that, we are forever grateful to the SGF crew. Thank you will never be enough, but THANK YOU SGF!

Loved my experience with SGF! They go above and beyond for their patients. I highly recommend them to all my friends and family members who may experience some sort of pregnancy infertility or complication because they felt like family when I finally got to announce a successful pregnancy.

With Dr. Mitchell, I felt like I actually had options and was an active participant in my treatment plan. One of the things that sets her apart is how communicative she is. She personally handled most of my appointments, and when she didn’t, she always made a point to call or send a message.

From the very first consultation, Dr. Mitchell made my husband and I feel at ease and reassured. Having a infertility diagnosis felt so scary and left us with so many questions about the future, but she helped ease our fears.

This has been far an experience for my family, and I however doctor Mitchell has been amazing and very straight forward from the very beginning. I’m so thankful for her and the wonderful staff that made me feel as family everytime I arrived there.

Q&A

I’ve been in the women’s health field my entire nursing career, a large part of that spent in labor and delivery at Inova Fairfax Hospital. Being able to help women in their fertility journey as a Nurse Practitioner after years helping women deliver babies is special to me. It’s like I’ve come full circle.

I was born and raised in Boston, MA, so I’m a Boston sports fan by default! However, I’ve been residing in Northern Virginia for 15+ years with my husband and our three young kids. I love to cook, bake, read, craft, and take the kids hiking across all the National Parks.

Q&A

I spent my early nursing career working in women’s health. While pursuing my master’s degree as a NP I worked in the fertility office where I had been a patient (a successful one). I found my new calling. I felt that I could bring a perspective to the job of a previous patient. I have never looked back on that decision.

Watching just about any sport on TV or in person, especially baseball, reading, needlepoint and traveling.

Probably nothing, since I’m a pretty open book.

Q&A

I am constantly overwhelmed by the commitment of our entire team to our patients. From the minute you walk through the doors at Shady Grove Fertility, you are family. At SGF, we all share in our patients’ desire to achieve parenthood and we remain fully invested until we meet that goal. I love the fact that SGF can spark hope for our patients, whether it is their first opinion or they come to us with the burden of many years of infertility. Mostly, I’m proud of our patients. The strength and resilience they convey is empowering. It is a privilege to be a part of their journey and support them along the way. I am honored to be surrounded by such extraordinary people every day.

For patients that are struggling, I believe the first step is to listen. Every single patient has a different, and a lot of times difficult, history to discuss. My goal is to listen and support my patients, so that I can provide an individualized treatment plan to help them achieve their goal of taking home a baby.

I have had my own personal struggles with my health, which ultimately led me to the fields of medicine in which I’ve practiced and plan to spend my career.

Empathetic, compassionate, and driven.
