Q&A

My first exposure to assisted reproductive technologies was during a college course that explored the social and scientific aspects of human biology. When the professor discussed IVF primarily in the context of heterosexual, infertile couples, I realized how much the field needed to evolve to include LGBTQ+ family building. As someone who will use assisted reproductive technologies to build my own future family, I became deeply interested in the science and the justice behind this work. Over time, meeting individuals and couples facing infertility only strengthened my commitment to pursuing REI so I could help others build the families they dream of.

SGF is exceptional in both patient care and research. Our physicians are leaders in the field, and the collaborative environment allows us to learn from each other every day. SGF’s commitment to evidence-based, compassionate, and detail-oriented care makes me proud to be part of an organization that consistently strives for excellence.

I love cycling—my Peloton workouts help keep me energized. I’m also passionate about singing and spent years in a cappella groups in college and medical school. Today, you can often find me singing at karaoke or piano bars. Music has always been an outlet for stress and a way to connect with others. Recently, I’ve been reading more, especially fantasy and fiction. I also love watching movies, TV shows, and reality competition series like RuPaul’s Drag Race and Survivor
