Biography

Anne Davis, M.D., M.S., is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist who brings more than a decade of experience in fertility care to Shady Grove Fertility’s Solana Beach location. She has spent years serving patients throughout Southern California with a focus on personalized treatment, specializing in minimal and low stimulation IVF for patients with low ovarian reserve, and diagnosing and treating fertility patients with endometriosis.

Dr. Davis’s interest in reproductive medicine began early in life when she became an egg donor. That experience sparked a lasting passion for helping others build their families. Years later, she would rely on IVF herself to grow her own family—giving her a unique perspective on both sides of the fertility journey.

Dr. Davis provides comprehensive fertility services, including intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), preimplantation genetic testing (PGT), fertility preservation, and LGBTQIA+ family-building care. Her holistic approach is rooted in listening deeply to each patient’s goals and creating personalized care plans that align with their  specific needs, including extensive counselling on lifestyle and supplements and encouraging alternative modalities, such as acupuncture and functional medicine. She is especially passionate about empowering patients through education and helping them feel seen and supported throughout their journey.

As an experienced physician in Southern California, Dr. Davis is thrilled to continue her work in helping more families realize their dreams of parenthood at SGF California.

Q&A

To help individuals and couples realize their dreams of having a family in the safest and most compassionate way possible, while recognizing that one size of treatment never fits all.

I had the opportunity to be an egg-donor in my youth and the experience was life-changing.

The SGF focus on creating a positive patient experience, building strong relationships in the community with experts, and the SGF commitment to excellence in medicine.

I am inspired by my patients every day. Especially those who continue despite setbacks. I had a wonderful couple who, after creating beautiful embryos, were plagued by unexplained early losses. Even after the third loss, they stayed positive and determined, and we did find the cause for their losses. They now have a beautiful baby girl, and I think about them all the time. So many people, myself included, would have considered giving up under their circumstances, but they did not!

I always listen first. And not just to hear or gather data, but to really listen to what the patient’s prior experiences have been, how they’ve affected her/them and therefore try to identify the true source of the struggle.
