Q & A
Q: WHY DID YOU BECOME A DOCTOR?
A: Becoming a doctor and caring for patients was always a goal of mine and I felt it was the best fit for me and my personality. I have a mathematical mind and always play with the numbers, review the numbers, and review them again!
Q: WHAT IS SOMETHING ABOUT YOU THAT WOULD SURPRISE MOST PEOPLE?
A: I am the youngest of nine children. I was an Olympic athlete and went to the 1972 Munich Olympics.
Q: WHAT ABOUT SGF MAKES YOU THE MOST PROUD?
A: There is an abundance of knowledge here at Shady Grove Fertility. We are so very committed to patients and their success in building a family. I would have never imagined how many different options we provide for patients that I’ve never seen before. I am very proud to bring these options to our patients in Pennsylvania.
Q: WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES AND WHY DO YOU ENJOY THEM?
A: I love playing a good game of tennis. I have gotten to be good at it! It keeps me fit and feeling young.
Q: HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY?
A: I am pretty low key and easygoing. However, I can be very competitive. At times I can be a bit introverted but always kind and considerate.
Q: WHAT’S ON YOUR BUCKET LIST?
A: I would love to tour the world again, but this time I would appreciate the experience. Taking a cruise to Asia or Alaska sounds ideal. Exploring new areas and learning about different cultures is a passion of mine.

“Dr. Munabi is truly a miracle fertility doctor and I would highly recommend him. I’ve seen other fertility doctors in my three years of trying to conceive, and he was the only one who succeeded. His demeanor was very supportive and calming, which I truly believe, helps support a successful environment for pregnancy. The staff was knowledgeable and encouraging along the way as well.”
“Great experience. He took over an hour with us and answered every single question we had and more! He was kind and compassionate and had a pleasant sense of humor as well! We were Very comfortable with him as our doctor!”
“After an 8 year struggle to conceive, there aren’t enough words to describe what Dr. Munabi, and the entire Shady Grove Fertility staff, have done for my wife and I. Simply clicking 5 stars feels almost criminally inadequate. From the very first consultation, Dr. Munabi was kind, positive, and encouraging. I’m typically somewhat cynical, especially after experiences with other doctors whose main interest seemed to be adding billable services. But I truly felt that Dr. Munabi was only interested in giving us our baby. And he did. I’ll never forget crying tears of joy with my wife when we heard our little girl’s heartbeat for the first time, and then turning to see that the nurse, a total stranger, was sharing the same tears. Simply put, these people care about you.”
“Dr. Munabi and the staff at Shady Grove Fertility are some of the best medical professionals out there. After trying to conceive for our year on our own we went to SGF and met with Dr. Munabi. He was very professional and explained the various options we had as well as the chance of success for each one. This allowed us to make an informed decision. There were some lows during our treatment and Dr. Munabi was so compassionate and called us to check to see how I was doing. We successfully ‘graduated’ from Shady Grove Fertility and are the parents of an 8 month old daughter due to the dedication of the team there.”
“Dr. Munabi and the staff at Shady Grove Fertility’s Reading office the best medical professionals I’ve encountered. After trying to conceive for our year on our own we went to Shady Grove Fertility and met with Dr. Munabi. He was very professional and explained the various options we had as well as the chance of success for each one. This allowed us to make an informed decision. The nurses at the office became almost like family and responded to e-mails/calls quickly and compassionately.”
“I was a patient of Dr. Munabi yet I believe we were treated more like family than what I would call a “patient”. He and his staff were extremely attentive and always positive. The kind of positive energy you need to hear vs what you might want to hear. More specifically, no one ever promised us that going through IVF/ICSI would be a success (that is what we wanted to hear). They were very clear about what we were about to embark in being an emotional, physical and financial journey and one that could prove not to give us what we most desired, a baby, but that if we didn’t try, we would also never know what could have been. Regardless of it being a good day or a bad day for us, they were always very excited to see us and eager to make certain we were leaving with a smile on our faces and any questions and concerns we had answered. My husband and I are pleased to share that we are expecting our first baby. Fortunately we only had to go through this one time, however, we want him to have a sibling so we plan to be back!”
