Q & A

Q: Why did you become a doctor/reproductive endocrinologist?

I wanted to be a doctor since I was in second grade. What type of doctor I wanted to be changed several times during my journey to become a physician. Ultimately I decided to be a reproductive endocrinologist because I can be primarily an educator. I explain the causes of infertility, along with work-up and treatment, to the patients and then work with them to come up with the treatment that is best for them. It is unbelievably rewarding to help patients who are so dedicated and motivated to accomplish such a wonderful goal of being parents.

Q: What are your hobbies and why do you enjoy them?

I enjoy swimming, and have been on a masters swim team for more than 10 years. I also enjoy golf but don’t think I will excel in it until my work schedule is much lighter. I love to have my social life revolve around sports and activities and have wonderful friends as a result of these.

Q: Describe a time when you were inspired by a patient

I am inspired by my patients every day. Even the courage it takes to come in for an initial consult is incredible. The really inspiring times happen after something not so good happens, such as a cycle failure or, worse, a miscarriage or later loss. The strength of patients to stick with it and try again inspires me to work my hardest every day to help these people have a family.

Q: What about SGF makes you the most proud?

Our attention to great patient care and great success.

"Thank you very much for calling Troy’s cell to encourage us for my embryo transfer today. It went smoothly today and we hope for good results in two weeks. Dr. Browne, thank you for giving me a “GO” sign to pursue this IVF cycle. Julie, the ultrasound technician, Bernadette, the blood technician, the two ladies at the reception desk, Taryn and last but not least, Dr. Browne, I felt that everyone was as one team and gave Troy and I strength to be positive and go on with this IVF cycle. Thank you."

"I don’t know if I have said it before or if I have said it enough, but today we just want to say “Thank you” to you and all the team that works with us at Shady Grove. I have always been amazed at how well you and everyone else works together and at how personal and compassionate you are with every patient and specially with us personally; but today my husband and I were just blown away. Not only I was told by Dr. Browne that I have “beautiful ovaries”, but when we told her that we were coming short on the meds, the nurses immediately started working on putting together everything that we need to last us through Monday! You know how stressful infertility is and when you add to that the financial burden, then it just becomes down right depressing. This process can be so long and dark, but through the grace and hope you share with us, we have been able to find reasons to have joy and to be thankful for the journey no matter the outcome. Thank you and may God bless you all. Please share my gratitude with everyone."

"We felt extremely welcomed and comfortable. Dr. Browne answered all of our questions and made us feel taken care of. She answered all of our questions fully."

"Dr. Browne was very informative and it was clear she was an expert in this area. She spoke confidently and truly appears to love what she does."

"Excellent doctor!! Have recommended her to friends and family trying for children. Will be going back to her in the future!"

"Excellent staff, very courteous and compassionate. Wait time was always under 5-10 minutes.
Dr Browne was awesome. Very knowledgeable and explained everything from step one. Would recommended her to friends and family trying for a little one."

"Very personable, down to earth and caring. Felt at ease right away at our first appointment. Would recommended her to friends and family trying for a little one!!"

"My husband and I will never be able to express just how thankful we are to have been patients of Dr. Browne. She and the entire team at the Fair Oaks office made the overwhelming process of fertility treatment easier and more comfortable than I ever expected it could be. The front desk and nursing staff members were kind and compassionate and I never felt like just another number. Dr. Browne was not only a wonderful doctor, she was an amazing support for my husband and I as we went through the process, which at times was heartbreaking. She never gave up on us, and she always encouraged us to remain positive. I always felt like I was getting the answers I needed, even though sometimes they weren’t the answers I wanted. Dr. Browne is a straight shooter and I will always appreciate her honest approach to patient care. She is compassionate, empathetic and human, and I knew she was dedicated to helping us….not for numbers or statistics, but for us, because she truly, genuinely wanted to help. I trusted her every step of the way and have recommended her to others. The nursing staff was also awesome! If I couldn't get in touch with my nurse there was always someone else who was happy to talk to me and answer all of my questions. They were kind, understanding and patient."
