
Cade Foundation Family Building Grant
2010 Applications Now Available
Applications for the 2010 Cade Foundation Family Building Grantsare now available. The Tinina Q. Cade Foundation's Family Building Grant is an annual award that provides up to $10,000 to needy, infertile families. These grants assist with the costs associated with infertility treatment or domestic adoption.
As of April 2010, the foundation has raised over $100,000, primarily through individual participation, donations, and sponsorships of the annual Cade Foundation Race for the Family 5K Run. These funds have provided 15 couples, nationwide, with Family Building Grants to begin or add to their families.
Applying For The 2010 Family Building Grant
This year, the grant will consist of 2 portions - one that involves online registration, and one that involves downloading the application from the Cade Foundation website. For your application to be considered complete you MUST fill out and submit BOTH portions of the application.
Both portions of application must be received by the Cade Foundation no later than June 15, 2010. Incomplete or late applications will not be reviewed. Applicants will be notified by email about funding decisions by September 30, 2010.
To be eligible for a Family Building Grant, applicants must:
- Have documented infertility
- Be a legal permanent US resident (green card or citizens only) that resides in the United States
- Complete the Family Building Grant application in full (including the online registration and the written grant application that should be mailed in)
- Submit a $50 application processing fee online with Part 1 of the grant application

The Cade Foundation will host a teleconference on May 1, 2010 as well as June 1, 2010 at 12:00 pm Eastern Standard Time for applicants to ask questions about the grant application.

Selection Process
The Tinina Q. Cade Foundation Selection Committee is responsible for the review of all Family Building Grant applications and makes the decision about funding. All complete applications will be reviewed and considered regardless of color, race, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, elderliness, familial status, or handicap.
Additional Family Building Grant Details
- Grant funding will not exceed $10,000 per family.
- Grant will provide financial support to assist with costs associated fertility treatment or domestic adoption and must be used between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011.
- Grant application must provide a detailed plan of how grant applicants will contribute to overall costs associated with fertility treatment or domestic adoption.
- Grant MUST be used for the purposes described in the original grant application.
- Submitted applications must be complete to be considered. Applications missing any information or attachments will not be reviewed.
- To allow us to continue to grow, we ask that all grant recipients participate in fundraising efforts and raise the amount of their award in the years following their grant
