Biography
Erin O’Brien, MMS, PA-C, earned her Bachelor’s degree from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania, before completing her Master of Medical Science at Drexel University in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. During her physician assistant training, Erin completed a clinical rotation in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Shady Grove Fertility’s Chesterbrook location, where she discovered her passion for fertility care.
Before joining SGF in January 2026, Erin gained valuable hands-on patient care experience working as an Emergency Medical Technician and a Rehabilitation Technician. These roles strengthened her clinical skills and reinforced her commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
Erin’s responsibilities at SGF include performing baseline, monitoring, and obstetrical ultrasounds; intrauterine inseminations (IUIs); hysterosalpingograms (HSGs); saline sonograms and mock embryo transfers (SIS/MET); and gynecological procedures such as endometrial biopsies. She also conducts physical exams, evaluates patients for urgent concerns such as pain or bleeding, reviews laboratory results, and assists in clinical decision-making.
Erin currently cares for patients at SGF’s Newark, Delaware, and Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania, locations. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cheering on her favorite sports teams, staying active, and hanging out with her dog, Lola. She also has a creative side and loves interior design and home renovation projects, a passion that often surprises those who know her.
