Amy Chang, MSN, FNP-BC

Patient Testimonial
With Dr. Mitchell, I felt like I actually had options and was an active participant in my treatment plan. One of the things that sets her apart is how communicative she is. She personally handled most of my appointments, and when she didn’t, she always made a point to call or send a message.

From the very first consultation, Dr. Mitchell made my husband and I feel at ease and reassured. Having a infertility diagnosis felt so scary and left us with so many questions about the future, but she helped ease our fears.

This has been far an experience for my family, and I however doctor Mitchell has been amazing and very straight forward from the very beginning. I’m so thankful for her and the wonderful staff that made me feel as family everytime I arrived there.

I am so grateful to have found myself at SGF Carolinas. In this clinic I received an extremely thorough fertility workup, an individualized treatment plan, and always felt heard by my care team.

I would highly recommend Dr. Selter due to her knowledge, attention to detail, empathy/care for patients, and ability to explain things patiently during a time of high stress for patients. She explained things to me every step of the way so that I would feel comfortable and informed.

I wish I could give them more stars! Everyone here was so sweet and kind along my entire journey. My nurse Mya has been SO responsive with my billion questions! Dr. Swelstad is just amazing! Every single person in this facility made me feel so special and so well taken care of!

Q&A

I’ve been in the women’s health field my entire nursing career, a large part of that spent in labor and delivery at Inova Fairfax Hospital. Being able to help women in their fertility journey as a Nurse Practitioner after years helping women deliver babies is special to me. It’s like I’ve come full circle.

I was born and raised in Boston, MA, so I’m a Boston sports fan by default! However, I’ve been residing in Northern Virginia for 15+ years with my husband and our three young kids. I love to cook, bake, read, craft, and take the kids hiking across all the National Parks.
