Baltimore, MD – The Cade Foundation will host the 15th Annual Race for the Family virtually on Saturday, June 13, 2020. Registrants can walk, jog, or pedal for either a 5k or 1 mile activity. Revenue from this event will support the Cade Foundation’s Family Building Grants, which provide up to $10k to help needy, deserving families who have infertility with infertility treatment and adoption costs. Shady Grove Fertility (SGF) physicians, staff, and current and former patients and other supporters from throughout the community are invited to participate and thereby celebrate the strength and courage it takes to overcome infertility.

All registrants will receive one raffle ticket per race. Since virtual race registrants are automatically entered for both the virtual and in person events, they will receive two raffle tickets. Two raffle drawings will be held in the fall at the in-person event. The raffle prizes will include up to $10,000 in fertility treatment at SGF, given in honor of the legacy and memory of Dr. Stephen Greenhouse, and medications for one cycle of IVF will be donated by EMD Serono. We anticipate 1,000 people will join us for the activities.

The honorary event chairpersons for the virtual 2020 Race for the Family will be Christopher E. Hubbard (of the Cleveland Browns) and his lovely wife, Tamara Hubbard. The event will be live-streamed from 7:30 am – 8: 00 am via Facebook and Instagram on the Tinina Q. Cade Foundation Facebook webpage. In addition to SGF, other major sponsors include EMD Serono and Igenomix.

Dr. Shruti Malik, a reproductive endocrinologist from SGF shared, “The Cade Foundation provides support to those struggling with infertility with financial grants and also provides them with a strong sense of community. I was immediately drawn to the ideals of the Cade Foundation because they resonate so strongly with those of our SGF family and I am honored to support this year’s Race for the Family.”
