Donor Conception Discussion Group | 6-Week Series (DC, MD, VA and PA)

What: Virtual, 6-week, closed group

Who: Parenting a child conceived with the help of donor conception; children of any age; and located in DC, MD, VA or PA

When: Wednesdays at 8PM starting September 27 (Sept. 27, Oct. 4, Oct. 11, Oct. 18, Oct. 25, & Nov. 1) **Please note, I request children not be present.**

Cost: $300 via credit card

This is an interactive, virtual group to discuss issues and topics that come up that might be specific to donor conception. We will work on formatting a story and discuss ways to integrate this at home. The group will be structured with educational information, such as, the cognitive development of donor-conceived children and what they can understand at different ages/stages; what we know about the impact of disclosure on the child and family; talking to family and friends; donor-linked peer considerations; and creating a “family origin story”. There will also be opportunity to share personal stories and experiences and connect with other parents.

• Session 1: Parenthood and the other side of infertility
• Session 2-3: Attachment and bonding, relationships, developmental understanding
• Session 4-6: Constructing the story and what to share
