Q&A

Q & A

Q: Why did you become a doctor/reproductive endocrinologist?

A:

I love helping people and assisting people who are having difficulty in having a baby or at least having them feel we have done the best for them if we are not successful.

Q: What are your hobbies?

A:

Photography.

Q: What about SGF makes you the most proud?

A:

As a founding partner, along with Michael Levy, I am most proud of the growth and success of the practice because this has allowed us to help so many people have a baby. Our philosophy and mission has always been to place the interests, needs, and well-being of our patients first above all else. This has allowed us to be successful.

Q: Describe a time when you were inspired by a patient.

A:

I am inspired every day by the persistence and strength I observe in patients’ determination to proceed with such demanding processes in their quest to have a baby.

Q: What is your approach to helping patients who are struggling?

A:

I feel I need to empathize with their situation, try to feel what they are feeling, and listen to them without judgment but only with support, encouragement, and honesty.

I am inspired every day by the persistence and strength I observe in patients’ determination to proceed with such demanding processes in their quest to have a baby.

"Our first visit to Shady Grove Fertility in 2012 was very reassuring, the staff was friendly and welcoming. We were seen by Dr. Sagoskin and his team, who made us feel we were at the right place. It's a day we won't forget. We began with diagnostic testing and were scheduled for an IUI. Three IUIs, one IVF fresh cycle and one FET - we were yet to get pregnant.
We never felt alone or hopeless, maybe it was the constant support and reassurance we got from the staff of Shady Grove, from the front desk to the phlebotomist to the sonographer, my nurse, or even the other doctors that I saw whenever Sagoskin wasn't available due to my scheduling conflict from work. We always knew we were in the right place. My last FET, done by Dr. Doyle, gave us our little prince on January 4th 2015. We are grateful to the staff of Shady Grove Fertility. We will forever have a place for you in our hearts and urge any couple going through the journey of infertility to make Shady Grove Fertility their choice. Remember- infertility, it's a journey not a destination."
"We wanted to sincerely thank you for the extremely patient and supportive care that you have provided to our family. Your constant reassurance and positive, uplifting demeanor certainly did not go unnoticed. It is great confidence that we would recommend any other couples in need to SGF as they service you and your team provide is without a doubt the most comprehensive and conscientious approach to medical care we have ever experienced. In addition to the ongoing support that you have provided to us, many other staff members have made our time at SGF so positive…We could never thank you enough!"

"Thank you so much for helping us make our family complete!"

"I am still in awe that we have been blessed with such an amazing and beautiful little girl!!! I finally feel human again. Infertility changes a person and I know it has made me stronger and my marriage stronger. I try to explain this to people but it's hard to understand unless you've been there…thanks again...and maybe we will see you again in a few years :)"

“It’s so hard for me to believe our time together is coming to an end – at least for now. I received all sorts of advice for enduring infertility but no one ever told me what it would be like to achieve success. I am excited, nervous and mostly sad to leaving Shady Grove Fertility. Your staff took such good care of me. Their warmth and skills always made me feel I was a priority. I’ve never had a medical experience like that. Thank you for building such an amazing practice! You held my hand throughout the process and it really helped me come to terms with what was happening. You felt like close friends, always rooting for me and always there when the chips were down….
…The work you do is simply amazing. Between the monitoring center, surgical wing, embryology lab and multiple offices, the facilities were incredible I was constantly impressed and have already recommended multiple friends.
Thank you so very much for your dedication. I know it’s an everyday thing for you all, but it meant the world to me. …With fondness and appreciation.”

“Our test is positive! It's just incredible. Thank You. It's just a miracle. Thank you very much and God bless You”

“I just wanted to let you know that I met the husband of one of your former patients during a visit to the Medical Access clinic in Germantown...former patients always have such nice things to say about their physician and the care they received from the entire Shady Grove team. But he said something that especially moved me – he said, “You know, Shady Grove didn’t just create a child and build our family – you healed our souls.”

"We are expecting…and are truly excited. Thank you so much for being a big support to us. We also want to thank Dr. Sagoskin. Yes, it was annoying to do all the tests….but we are happy that there was a means to the end (our baby girl). I am looking forward to coming back to Shady Grove!"

"Thank you so much for your great medical care, understanding and warm sensitivity. It’s so appreciated!"

"Thank you for everything. Words do not express how grateful we are to you for helping us build our family. Our miracle girls have brought so much joy to our lives and each minute with them is so precious (even at 2am when they are both crying)."

"Thank you Dr. Sagoskin and Elizabeth. We are so thrilled to welcome our new additions into this world. You will always have a special place in our hearts for making this all possible. "

"We just wanted to express our appreciation for all of your help over the last 11 months and to especially thank you for helping to make our dreams come true! We are absolutely thrilled. Thank you for all of your support and for pushing us to not give up - you were right! We look forward to being able to send you pictures in about 7.5 months."

"Although the answers were not always what we wanted to hear Dr. Sagoskin was professional and very compassionate about walking us through the process and keeping us all on the same page. His team is well trained and rally around the unit which is a testament to his coordination of talent."

"Dr. Sagoskin provided a truly personalized experience where I felt listened to and respected. The office staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Both Sagoskin and his nurses were always available to answer questions and showed so much compassion. I would highly recommend him to anyone."

"Dr. Sagoskin has a calm demeanor which was very important to me. The consultation was very conversational, and he walked me through all the possible scenarios and gave detailed explanations as to why or why not. This gave me enough room to make necessary decisions and gave me a good understanding of what the process would look like for my specific needs."
