Biography

Michael J. Levy, M.D., is a founding partner and director of in vitro fertilization at Shady Grove Fertility. He also innovated and fought for acceptance of the Shared Risk 100% Refund Plan and the Shared Donor Egg Program. Dr. Levy received his medical degree from the University of Cape Town Medical School in South Africa. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology and a 2-year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at The George Washington University. Dr. Levy is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology. He is a clinical assistant professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine.

Q&A

I had to decide in 10th grade in South Africa! You have to select the right matriculation subjects to get into medical school right after high school. I was good at math and science and found other options unappealing.

My father, who passed away 8 years ago. He was a primary care physician in Cape Town and really taught me how to relate to patients.
