Shared Risk 100% Refund

More than 3000 couples have selected  to participate in Shared Risk because of the opportunity to lock in a flat fee for up to six treatment cycles and  receive a 100% refund if a baby is not delivered.

The Shared Risk 100% Refund Plan for IVF and Donor Egg was created  to help couples without insurance benefits for infertility treatment. Now those patients can choose to pursue IVF or Donor Egg treatment without the worry about the cost versus chances of success, and without sacrificing high quality medical care. Pregnancy success rates is this program are comparable to the results of all IVF and donor egg cycles.

How Does The Shared Risk 100% Refund Plan Work?

The  Shared Risk 100% Refund Plan is open to couples meeting the eligibility criteria. We estimate than nearly 70% of patients in our practice would meet the qualifications for Shared Risk. Women must be under age 39 to qualify for Shared Risk with IVF, but women over 39 may participate in this plan if they are using Shared Risk with donor eggs. Patients from out-of state may also participate in this program.

Flat Fee - 100% Refund

Couples choosing this plan may attempt up to six IVF or Donor Egg cycles for a flat fee. When the couple takes a baby home from the hospital, our Center has earned the fee. In the event the attempts are unsuccessful, 100% of the fee is refunded. You may withdraw from the program at any time during treatment. Some costs not included in this program are: normal prescreening tests, medication, surgeries not related to IVF, recruitment or purchase fees for donor sperm or donor egg.

Couples achieving a pregnancy on the first attempt will pay more with this program than the traditional fee for service payment methods. On the other hand, if you don’t take a baby home, SGFC assumes the bulk of the costs, hence the name, “Shared-Risk”. Women using donor eggs and couples requiring ICSI are eligible for this program at slightly higher fees.

Can Out-of-State Patients Access the Shared Risk 100% Refund Plan?

Many of our Shared risk patients travel in from out-of-state. Depending on your situation, arrangements can be made to coordinate care with your local physician or fertility center. You will need to come to the Washington Metropolitan area for at critical points during your cycle.
