Shady Grove Fertility, a national leader in infertility and IVF, with 28 locations throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Georgia, is dedicated to their mission of helping the 1 in 8 couples affected by infertility by educating the community and spreading awareness about infertility and treatment options.

Physicians and other program specialists will host informational virtual webinars and in-person seminars on topics ranging from diagnosing and treating polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), egg freezing options, how to know if you need to see a fertility specialist, and much more. Each event concludes with a question and answer session so that attendees have the opportunity to get their personal questions answered by the practice’s physician and specialist experts.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common ovulatory disorder in women of reproductive age and the leading cause of female infertility,” says Eugene Katz, M.D. of Shady Grove Fertility’s Towson, MD and Bel Air, MD offices. During this webinar, Dr. Katz will cover the signs and symptoms of PCOS, how PCOS is diagnosed, and the treatment options available to help women with PCOS conceive. “The good news is that many women diagnosed with PCOS will be able to conceive with the help of diet, lifestyle modifications, and fertility treatment,” adds Katz. Dr. Katz will be hosting the PCOS webinar on Wednesday, January 17 at noon.

Given the advances made in egg freezing technology, Shady Grove Fertility has seen an 83 percent increase in the number of women who are choosing to freeze their eggs at SGF since 2013, and the numbers continue to rise. “With advanced age comes a decrease in fertility potential. Egg freezing allows women who aren’t quite ready to build a family to plan for the future when the time is right, says Shruti Malik, M.D. of Shady Grove Fertility’s Woodbridge, VA and Fair Oaks, VA offices who will be hosting the Egg Freezing webinar on Tuesday, January 30 at noon.

During the webinar, Dr. Malik will cover the basics of fertility and reproduction, the evolution of egg freezing technology, the egg freezing process, and egg freezing thaw outcomes and success rates. In addition, attendees will learn how SGF has made egg freezing affordable through their newest discount program with monthly payments as low as $195/month and a refund on storage for women who choose to thaw/use their eggs early.

While all SGF in-person and online events are complimentary, interested parties must register to attend by visiting the Shady Grove Fertility’s calendar of events.
