To commemorate 25 years and more than 40,000 babies born, Shady Grove Fertility has compiled an eBook of personal stories written by their patients to offer hope, raise belief, and remind people that there are now treatment options available to help nearly everyone conceive.

Shady Grove Fertility, the largest fertility center in the nation—celebrating 25 years and more than 40,000 babies born—has published a unique eBook that offers an inside glimpse into the journeys of 25 couples on their road to becoming parents. “25 Patient Stories of Triumph” is a collection of personal stories written by Shady Grove Fertility patients that provide an honest and heartwarming look into the trials and triumphs patients face in their pursuit to building a family. Each story provides a different and revealing perspective and is meant to serve as a source of strength, hope, and inspiration to those still on the path to parenthood.

Many people come to Shady Grove Fertility looking for answers. “I wanted to know why I couldn’t get pregnant like everybody else,” says former patient, Jessica. After her first appointment with Jeffrey McKeeby, M.D., in SGF’s Annapolis, MD office, Jessica and Eugene knew they were in the right place with the right team to get the answers they’ve been searching for.

“The most difficult part of the IVF journey was the emotional uncertainty, but hearing other patients’ stories, I knew I wasn’t alone in my thoughts, feelings, uncertainties, and insecurities. I knew it would all turn out okay if I just kept believing,” says a former patient.

“At Shady Grove Fertility we recognize that caring for a patient’s emotional well-being is equally as important as treating their infertility. We understand that each couple’s experience and needs are different, which is why we integrate varied support resources into our fertility program,” adds Isaac E. Sasson, M.D., Ph.D., of SGF’s Chesterbrook, PA location.

“Each miscarriage was just heartbreaking. When you need someone to support you, talk to, lift you up when you felt low or someone to just listen, Shady Grove Fertility staff and support counselors were always there,” recalls another SGF patient.

When Shady Grove Fertility first opened its doors in 1991, one Shady Grove Fertility baby was born approximately every 20 days. Today, 10 Shady Grove Fertility babies are born each day. The launch of their 25th anniversary“Believe It’s Possible” campaign builds hope for the one in eight couples who are affected by infertility, and hopefully serves as a reminder that there are now treatments available to help almost everyone conceive.

These stories are the true meaning of “Believe It’s Possible.”
