DESCRIPTION:What: Virtual\, 6-week\, closed group \n\n\n\nWho: Parenting a child conceived with the help of donor conception; children of any age; and located in DC\, MD\, VA or PA \n\n\n\nWhen: Wednesdays at 8PM starting September 27 (Sept. 27\, Oct. 4\, Oct. 11\, Oct. 18\, Oct. 25\, & Nov. 1) **Please note\, I request children not be present.** \n\n\n\nCost: $300 via credit card \n\n\n\nThis is an interactive\, virtual group to discuss issues and topics that come up that might be specific to donor conception. We will work on formatting a story and discuss ways to integrate this at home. The group will be structured with educational information\, such as\, the cognitive development of donor-conceived children and what they can understand at different ages/stages; what we know about the impact of disclosure on the child and family; talking to family and friends; donor-linked peer considerations; and creating a “family origin story”. There will also be opportunity to share personal stories and experiences and connect with other parents. \n\n\n\n\nSession 1: Parenthood and the other side of infertility\n\n\n\nSession 2-3: Attachment and bonding\, relationships\, developmental understanding\n\n\n\nSession 4-6: Constructing the story and what to share\n\n\n\n\nTo Register: Please fill out form and email Dr. Laura Covington with completed form.
