    Interpreting The Success of IVF

Various percentages are used to gauge the expected success of IVF cycles. The delivery rate per initiated cycle is important to each individual patient. The major physical and financial commitment to an IVF cycle occurs with the egg retrieval, therefore we feel that the delivery rate per retrieval is the most important number to consider. This number does not take the cancellation rate into account. Each of these statistics should be calculated for the patients specific age, diagnosis, cycle number, and prognosis group.
