Annandale Office - Jill

All we can say is "thank you" as we ready our nursery for a new arrival. Jill and all of the staff at Shady Grove Annandale have helped to make our dreams of starting a family come true, and in a way that is unbelievably caring and understanding.

Your work means the world to us!

Vivian - Rockville Office

Thanks for being so attentive and patient as we went through our first IVF cycle. I could always count on you to get back to me right away, even when I asked the craziest questions. We are excited to be expecting our first child together and we can't thank you and the team enough for guiding us through this process. We will truly miss working with you!

Tammy

Annapolis Office - Crystal

I have never felt so fortunate in my life. I was blessed to find out about Shady Grove through my OB/GYN and was apprehensive about what was ahead. Well, I worried needlessly. I was treated like family the first day my husband and I came to the Annapolis office. Crystal was our nurse and she was such a wonderful, caring person. She saw us through 4 IUs and 1 IVF cycle. When I cried, she was there for me, when I needed a cheerleader, she was there. I'm not sure who was more excited about our pregnancy, her or us! When we learned we were having twin girls, she was there with Dr. Mottla with open arms. Without Crystal, I don't think I would have made it through the emotional ups and downs. We are now blessed with truly the most beautiful twin daughters. Thank you Shady Grove, Dr. Mottla and most of all, Crystal!

GBMC Nurses!

I adore all of the nurses at GBMC who helped us through the first few years of our five year fertility journey that resulted in our 3 1/2 year old, Harrison, and our twins, Hudson & Piper, who are almost 6 months old. Alisha has such a warm, kind spirit and is full of patience and compassion - thank you for everything! We worked with many other nurses at this location and connected with all of them - Bernie and Beth were two of our very favorites. They were so understanding, knowledgable, and rock-solid. Thanks for the work you do and I hope you know how much it means to so many people.
Happy Nurses Week!
Jill

Thank you, Kala!

Kala was always patient with me, especially when I was stressed out and had the silliest questions after going thru 3 IUIs and 3 IVF treatments! Thanks to her and Dr. Garde, I'm now expecting a baby girl in late July. Every nurse I have come in contact with at SGF has been so nice, patient and caring! Happy Nurses Week to everyone at Shady Grove!!!!

Bel Air office

About 7 years ago I had my first experience with SGFC and the nurses. I started out at GBMC with Bernie and was just so thankful for her knowledge and sweet spirit. She was a Godsend when I needed her. She kept me calm and answered all my questions and when I got pregnant with TWINS she was the one who called. Then 2 years ago, we were back at SGFC this time in Bel Air with her again. I am thankful for her and will always have a special place in my heart for her.

Jackie @ Annapolis

Happy Nurses Week to all the Nurses at SGF! You all are angels!!! Jackie quickly became by new best friend when I entered the Annapolis office to ride the scary, and exciting ride called infertility. Jackie was always there to answer my calls and, answer any questions I had and she NEVER made me feel any question was a bad or dumb question. She was VERY supportive, and very compassionate! She was there with me when I found out our 2nd IVF treatment was successful and it felt like she was in there holding her breathe with us when we found out. I will NEVER forget Jackie and the wonderful support of ALL the doctors, and nurses at SGF. Thank you and God Bless you all!

Lilach at Rockville

Lilach,

Thank you for your continuous support, warmth, and expertise! You are truly wonderful!!!

Todah Rabah Rabah!

Stacey and co at the Annapolis office

Just wanted to thank Stacey and others at the Annapolis office. The care and genuine concern w/ my wife's care as we started the fertility process to the point where we now have a beautiful daughter is the direct result of the dedication and professionalism Stacey and other showed us. They are truly top notch professionals, but most of all great friends through the process.

Two great nurses, two great pregnancies!

My nurse in Rockville is no longer there, but she was awesome. Thanks for everything, Mary - for keeping me motivated, informed, and on task. No matter what question I had or what method I used to contact you, you always got back to me quickly and with the right guidance. We have amazing twins and I'll always remember your role in helping me get pregnant.

Heidi in Washington DC was the nurse for my wife Laura, who is currently 17 weeks pregnant. We are so excited! Heidi, you were so friendly and gave off such a vibe of awesomeness that I think it set the tone for Laura to get pregnant on the first try.

It's hard to express in words the depth of gratitude we feel to all the staff at SGFC for helping us have a family. Thank you all so very, very much.

Leesburg Nursing Team

You guys rock!!!! I love you SO much and never could have gotten through this whole thing with out you.

Much Love-
Jordan Lacy

Rockville office

Happy Nurses Week to all nurses! The team in Rockville is wonderful! They could not have been more helpful or compassionate. I always felt I could call and get questions answered. Our journey continues but I know that we are in good hands with the nurses (and the whole team) at SGFC.

Thank you for all you do!

Chris Bishop - YOU ROCK!

Throughout my two year journey at SG, Chris stood by my side, even when she wasn't my nurse anymore. Chris used to be at Annandale and then moved to Leesburg. I don't think I would have made it through those two years if it wasn't for Chris. She laughed with me. She cried with me. She counseled me. She HUGGED me. She is just a shining star and I am so blessed to say that I still keep in contact with Chris, even after our journey was final. We are SO blessed to have had twin girls in November 2011 and it was all because of the great dedication and love that SG gives to it's patients. I love all the nurses and doctors that I had the pleasure of seeing. God Bless you for ALL you do!!!!!

Brit Basham-McManus

Woodbridge Office

Thanks to all the nurses at SGF - Woodbridge for all your hard work and dedication!

My nurse is Mary. Always patient and kind. Your a gem!

Gail on the donor team rocks!

Gail was awesome throughout my last cycle even when dealing with my horrible insurance issues! Could not have done it without her! Being a nurse at SG takes a very special person and I've only heard great things from all my friends who've cycled at Shady! You all rock! Of course I'm biased about Gail ;) thank you so much!

I am happy that my journey took place amongst such an amazing group and that my outcome was such a positive one. Big, big hug to each and every one of you! You make a huge difference in our journeys and you make lasting memories!

SGFC Ambulatory Nursing Team & SGFC Woodbridge Nursing Team

The ladies in Rockville and Woodbridge ROCK!

Sonya @ UMD

Sonya - You are an absolute gift. I can't imagine going through the fertility process without a nurse like you for education, support and kindness. Whether it was delivering tough news or the absolute best news, I can't imagine hearing it from anyone else! Thank you for doing the work you do and helping families like ours to grow. Our little Oliver is the joy of our life and you were an amazing part of the journey that brought him to us!

Jeannette

Thank you, Jeannette!!! You were so caring and made me feel like I was your only patient. And you went the extra mile - staying late to help me with my shots when my huband was out of town.

Linda and Everyone in Rockville

We cannot say enough about the nurses on the Donor Team at the Rockville office. They were with us for over two years and laughed and cried and then laughed again with us. Linda would take my calls after hours, spend time explaining every detail no matter how small it may seem to someone else and held my hand through everything. When my husband was away for work, they would stay late so that I could come in after work and have someone give me my shots. All the nurses and staff we worked with for more than two years knew us like family and treated us as such. I would not have been able to go through what I did and continue on with my journey without Linda and the other nurses on the donor team. When I was told I was "graduating" I asked if i had to because I had become so attached to everyone. Today we have our beautiful 7 and 3/4 month old twin girls Penelope and Lily who are miracles for us because of the strength that these remarkable women gave us.

Thank you does not seem to even touch how we feel about everyone, the nurses, the doctors (Dr. Levy we love you) and all administrative staff who we got to know for more than 2 years, but thank you for who you are and what you do.

Lauri and Marc

Debbie Huff-Annandale

We feel so lucky to have Debbie as our nurse. She is not only knowledgeable and skilled in her profession but she is kind and caring through every mountain and challenge. She is quick with a smile with an amazing laugh but is also compassionate and calm exactly when I need it. She goes above and beyond to make sure I know that she cares. Debbie-thanks for everything you do, you are awesome!!
The Martin's

Sarah-Waldorf

My experience with Sarah was great! She was always understanding, compassionate, and patient with my needs and millions of questions. She made sure to get back to me quickly which helped to calm my nerves alot. She helped me get through a somewhat scary experience that turned out to be a great positive one. I will forever be thankful and grateful to her for that.

Frederick nurses

My husband and I have been blown away from the compassionate and kind nurses we've encountered at Shady Grove and in particular at our home office, Frederick. They not only put up with my millions of questions but never make me feel ridiculous for even asking! They are so patient and really care about how I feel both physically and emotionally. This has been a long road but when it's over I can honestly say part of me will miss my trips to Frederick - only a staff like theirs can pull off that sentiment!

Shirley Barrick

Shirley is the best nurse! We couldn't have asked for a nicer more caring person to help us through the fertility process. She was always comforting when things didn't go as we hoped and was as happy as a grandma when we had our wonderful little blessing. We are so happy that now we are trying for a second blessing that she is our nurse to help us through the journey again. We have had great experiences with the nurses at all the offices that we have visited (Fair Oaks, Annandale and Rockville) but Shirley will always have a special place in our hearts.

The O'Connors

Jackie & Hope - Annapolis

I l-o-v-e, LOVED, my nurses in the Annapolis office. I must have called Jackie every day with some crazy question, and she never made me feel like a bother. She was the one who told me I was pregnant the first time, she was my support through my miscarriage, and she was my cheerleader through my second cycle. I now have my baby girl, Rylan, thanks to her (and Dr. K, of course!)! Hope was my sonographer just about every time I went. Those sonograms were scary, but she helped me get through with her kind smile and encouraging words. I have never felt more at ease in a medical setting than in her presence. It helps that she is someone who has gone through the process and came out with kids of her own. Even the nurses who stood in were wonderful (Joyce, that means you!). I never saw a frown in that office, and I always felt like a member of the family. The Kapaskas are definitely team SG nurses! We love you so much and hope to bring Rylan by for a visit soon!

Jan Tatspaugh !!!!

Happy Nurses Week to all RNs at SGF but especially to my RN Jan Tatspaugh ! She is the BEST !!! She helped us through our journey to become parents and now we have 3 children that resulted from the shared risk program. Thank you Jan from The Fischer Family !

Shirley Barrick - Leesburg Nurse

There are absolutely no words to describe RN Shirley Barrick. I have had the absolute pleasure of working with her for over 3 years and her professionalism, compassion, and excellent attention to detail is unbelievable. Shirley is the type of nurse who will check up on you while going through difficult times and always has a great attitude. She is one of the few nurses who actually takes the time to get to know her patients, versus feeling like just another number. As a person who is going through this fertillity journey by myself, with no family locally, she is like a "mother" to me and I trust her with everything.

I love her so much and even if I never bring a baby home, this fertility experience was made easier because of her. I think sometimes nurses are not given enough accolades for all they do. But trust me, nurses like Shirey Barrick are the backbone to any successful practice.

Keep up the great work Shirley! We love you!

Tashina

Happy Nurse's Week to you all

Doris from the donor team has been a true shoulder to lean on. From our first visit she understood our anxiety and was patient with the pages of questions that we had for her. We have been so grateful for all that she has done, keeping us relaxed yet focused. One thing that remains important to us is communication, she responds quickly and always has thorough explanations for each step of the process.

SGFC is lucky to have such a dedicated team. You are helping couples through an emotional journey, excitment, tears, laughter, anxiety and you handle this with true professionalism.

Thank you all so very much :)

Chris B. - Leesburg Office

I could not have made it through without the support of my nurse, Chris Bishop (leesburg). Best. Nurse. Ever. She not only provided excellent medical care, but knew exactly what to say to help calm my nerves during a very stressful time. Thanks to Chris as well as all the wonderful nurses at SGF. Every nurse I came in contact with was amazing!

Crystal - Annapolis

Crystal was our nurse when we were receiving treatment in the Annapolis office. I have said many times she was my rock throughout our treatment and that I couldn't have possibly completed the IVF cycle without her! Her wonderful sense of humor and her deep compassion for what each one of us is facing makes her the amazing and wonderful nurse that she is!! Happy Nurses Week to each and everyone of you and thank you for all that you do and all the sacrifices you make to try and help every patient reach the ultimate dream of parenthood!!!

Kathy Bugge

Kathy Bugge is a wonderful nurse. Her kind and attentive manner helped us feel trusting and safe despite a few failed cycles. Kathy stood by us in the difficult times and celebrated with us when IVF worked after the 3rd cycle.  Words can't really express our graditude for the pivitol role she and other Shady Grove staff and doctors played in helping us build our family. We are blessed.

Frederick Nurses are amazing

I have to say throughout my journey with Shady Grove Fertility, my nurse Elizabeth was there every step of the way. And when things got rough she encouraged me, helped me find resources and would check in to see how I was doing. She kept me
motivated and feeling like not only did Shady
Grove care about me but that she truly cared about me and my future success with IVF. When I finally got that positive pregnancy test, she was my first
phone call (before my husband!) because I knew should would be just as thrilled as I was. I thank her (and all the nursing staff) for staying committed and supportive of me and my dreams of motherhood.

Hi Sonia!

Thanks so much to Sonia in the Annandale Office. It was always great fun to talk with you and we really appreciate your support through the process each time. The twins and our big girl are doing just great. Its pretty busy here but we are loving life. You are part of the reason we have these 3 beautiful children. A GRAND THANKS. I miss you!

S

Crystal Is the Best!!

From the very first minute we were introduced to Crystal she made us feel as though we were the only patients that she had. Her wonderfully warm personality and amazing sense of humor made a difficult process way better. She feels like a friend and we cannot thank her enough for all of her amazing work.

Rob and Katie Hooper

Jessica

Jessica was our nurse for our almost two year struggle to get pregnant. I know, from the bottom of my heart, that we would not have made it through without her support. I talked with Jessica probably more than I talked to almost anyone during those two years -- she listened, provided guidance and counseling, and most importantly empathy. Having her tell me that we were pregnant was one of the best days of my life and I could not have imagined hearing it from anyone else or experiencing it without her. Thanks Jessica for being such a rock star!

Annapolis

Dana is awesome. she is considerate kind and goes above and beyond looking our for my wife's needs. Thanks you Dana dr mottla and the Annapolis team. Your guys rock!!!

M James

Elizabeth and Angie from the Frederick office

I say a prayer of thanks everyday to both of you and Shadygrove for my two precious angels. They will be 2 in June and it just feels like yesterday that I was there doctoring with you. I tell people all the time what wonderful nurses and doctors I came to know at Shadygrove. Thank you so much for helping me with my two blessings. Isabella Grace and Olivia Faith are the best things that have ever happened in my life! Thanks again!

Celebrate SGF Nurses

The Columbia Nurses aren't pictured, but they are fantastic! Stephanie is so patient and calm, just when I need it most!

Love the SGFC Nurses

I just want to say that the Shady Grove nurses are a breed all their own. The compassion and care they provide all patients goes above and beyond. They are excited when you have good news, and they help you through the bad. Thank you for all you do, especially to Taryn!

Without Shady Grove we would not have our sweet Sophia and Luke!

Annapolis Office - Jackie

My experience in the Annapolis office was beyond words. When you enter the office they know you by first name and are happy to see you each time you arrive. You feel a great deal of comfort with all the nurses and staff in the office. My nurse was Jackie. She was compassionate and endearing. She always called to check on your and always there to answer questions. She was by my side when I found out that I was having twins. I called from my local hospital very sick. She giggled and said you're probably carrying multiples and to come see them right away. She was completely correct. I was blessed with the most beautiful twin girls and all thanks to Shady Grove, all the doctors, nurses and staff.

Thank you very very much.
