SGFC Study Proves Multiple Births from IVF Can Be Avoided

The birth of Los Angeles octuplets is big news. This story is not typical of ethical fertility treatment. It is a departure from the norm for virtually every other woman and man who are considering the use of assisted reproductive technology (ART) to build their families. IVF is one of the most controllable and successful forms of ART, and with the advances in the science and practice of ART, elective Single Embryo Transfer (eSET) is a viable option for many patients who need IVF to conceive.

New Research Study Comes to SGFC

Shady Grove Fertility Center is looking for women to participate in a new medical study. The Lutrepatch™ study is testing the safety and effectiveness of a new delivery method of a medication for women who are trying to get pregnant. If you are a woman 18-38 years of age who has been trying to get pregnant and has an irregular monthly menstrual cycle (4 or fewer menstrual cycles per year OR have a menstrual cycle of more than 45 days), you may qualify for a research study.
