Margaret Ann Connors joined the Donor Team at Shady Grove Fertility in 2005. Initially working with both egg donor recipients and egg donors as a Nurse Coordinator, she transitioned into her current role as Donor Egg Team Nurse Practitioner in 2007. In this capacity, she works closely with Donor Team physicians, Donor Team staff, and Psychological Services assuring that donors accepted into our program meet stringent criteria. After an initial medical screening of all potential egg donor applications, she meets with them, completes a thorough personal and family medical history, completes a physical assessment, and provides hands-on training regarding all aspects of egg donation and medications. She is currently conducting Donor Days in our Rockville, Annandale, and Annapolis offices.

Margaret Ann has over 30 years of clinical nursing experience, 15 years as a nationally certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and 8 years in a variety of infertility roles. Prior to joining our team, she completed a 25-year career as a Navy Nurse Corps Officer. Margaret Ann earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the Medical College of Virginia of Virginia Commonwealth University and her Master of Science in Nursing (Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program) at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Certified as a Nurse Practitioner with the National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialties, she maintains licenses in Maryland and Virginia.
