Receiving Donated Eggs
Welcome to the Egg Donation Program at Shady Grove Fertility.
There are a variety of reasons that receiving donated eggs is the only option for couples experiencing infertility. These include impaired ovarian function evidenced by the production of few eggs or possibly no eggs at all. Some women have had their ovaries surgically removed, or have no eggs remaining as a result of chemotherapy. Others have genetic issues that exclude the use of their own eggs. Advancing age in women can also diminish the eggs ability to fertilize and develop. Additionally, some couples have gone through repeated fertility treatment cycles without success.
Regardless of your medical circumstance, we understand your goal is to have a baby of your own to love for a lifetime. At Shady Grove Fertility our experienced, compassionate donor team will work closely and confidentially with you to establish a donor matched to your individual circumstances, and optimize your chances of success. The Egg Donation Cycle
An Egg Donation cycle is the same as an In Vitro Fertilization cycle except, at the point of egg retrieval; the eggs are obtained from an anonymous donor instead of you. There are six steps to completing an Egg Donation cycle.
Insurance Benefits and Financial Options
Each patient's insurance coverage for fertility treatment varies depending on their plan. In our experience, few companies cover egg donation procedures. Shady Grove Fertility offers the Shared Risk 100% Refund Plan and other financial options. Learn moreā¦.
